| |  I am speculating the answer as to why an elephant's skin is wrinkled is because it helps retain moisture when the animal is out in the sun for long periods of time. Am I close? Elephants must get hot carrying around all that body weight, so their skin should remain cool with the wrinkles. The wrinkles help avoid dehydration and heat stroke for the elephant, right?
