Do you still have photo albums? Where do you place them? |
|
It somehow feel great going back to the memories we once had when we were still a little kid, and even when we were already growing up. And one of the best things that could remind us of those great moments are the photos..and funny coz some of them are even in black and white.. lol
I have like 2 big albums full of my photos. My mom kept all of my photos since I was a few weeks old, when I started crawling, when I started walking, when I went to pre-school, and so on. It's really fun looking at those pictures. Especially noticing how my appearance has changed by time.
My mom is very proud of me and my younger brother that she always lets her friends who visit at home see our albums. She put our albums on the table at our living room. That way anybody who wanted to see our pictures can just grab them easily. But she made sure though that our albums are very much handled with care.
how about you, do you still have photo albums? do you put your albums in your living room or you keep them in your bedroom? or you are now the man in the 21st century, saving your photos on a CD or other electronic saving devices?

1. lordwarwizard (10401) | 3 years ago | Occasionally on occasions, friends would take picture and send me the hard copy. I will just "file" them away in photo books (is that what you call them?) and store them in my drawers. When time to time, when I get bored, I will take them out and feel nostalgic.:P

maryannemax (10434) | 3 years ago | i do that. whenever i get to have new photos taken with my friends, i always have them printed and send the copies to them. and most of my friends do the same, put them in photo albums.

2. samrat16 (2195) | 3 years ago | I have got albums and have got dozens of them. It's like going back to decades back and see and feel what I was upto that time. Watching photographs from album gives immense pleasure and I prefer storing hard copy of photographs. I have got digital camera too but I hate it and my wife is like more into use of it. I love my old canon camera still and love to buy roll for it. I'm not like old people who doesn't want to get into new techno but there are things which we can't forget and want to stick to them only.

|
rogen_andrei (437) | 3 years ago | Exactly, there are just some things that we have been so used to that we sometimes rather stick with them than getting hold of the new ones. And my mom is like you, she'd rather get a roll for our old camera than the digital.

3. maryannemax (10434) | 3 years ago | even in the fast pace of technology these days,i still love the classic way of preserving photos. yep. i do have lots of photos online and had posted some of them on my friendster pages. but basically, most photos that i have taken, i still have them printed. it's kinda expensive for sure. but i don't care. i have lots of photo albums up to now. and it's placed in our living room. it's better to just flip the pages of the photo albums when trying to recall and look back at those moments in our lives.

rogen_andrei (437) | 3 years ago | True, it's a lil expensive having those pictures printed, especially when you got tons of them in your digicam..lol

4. whyaskq (5053) | 3 years ago | I do not have photos when I was small. The photos I had were those taken at gatherings after I left school. They are in albums chucked in a corner of my cupboard. If you had not mentioned, I would have forgotten they exist:P
Many many years ago, I will still take them out occasionally, just flip and recollect the past. Nowadays, I don't take much photos. Even photos which I have taken are in electronic form. It is stored in my computer.

7. retardedrugrat (3665) | 3 years ago | I actually do still have photo albums lol, strangely enough!
Right now I have just the one. It's full of photos of myself and my partner, and friends, and trips we've taken, along with many photos of my kids.
However, I'm buying another one too. I have some cherished photos of my family and nowhere to put them. These photos are old ones of my mom as a baby and upwards, my Dad and his brother when they were young adults and a couple of cherished photos of my Grandfather.
I want a separate photo album for those pictures, and I'm also going to put in a few of myself as a baby and upwards and some of my kids too. I feel it will be a wonderful memento for my kids when they grow up, and it will give them something to look back on when I'm dead and gone.
I think they'll appreciate it more than ever when they have kids of their own.

| choco_luvr (31) | 3 years ago | Yes, I have scads of photos in albums, at least 20! I'd have more but when I got divorced I gave my ex half of the pictures. I have 2 digtal cameras, an APS, and a 35mm. I only use the digigal now because I can see what I've taken and email them to friends. Most of my photos are of my grandchildren (I lead a boring life?). I print my photos and mail them to my grandkids or friends. I am also making a photo album for my youngest grandson (nearly 2), he loves to look at the photo albums and so do I. Some of my albums are hidden under the bed (no storage space) and some are on shelves in the living room so they are easily assesible. My photo albums would be one of the first things I'd grab if I had to leave my home quickly.
