What Tradition Do You Follow in the Wicca/Pagan Path

Like all religions it seems that there are many paths or traditions, and the wicca/pagan path is no different, so I was wondering which path were you particularly drawn to? I've read up on a lot of the different paths, like Gardnerian, etc. but I still consider myself an eclectic --that is take a little of this and a little of that from various traditions.

For the most part I follow a Celtic tradition however I am more then willing to add things from all paths. I even have some Christian beliefs in mine. That's one of the reasons I like paganism is there is no set lines. We can merge several together and make it unique for ourselves.

I'm like you in that I've never completely abandoned my Christian beliefs..thanks to my great-grandmother who was Catholic, she got involved with Science of Mind and Unity, and even Norman Vincent Peale...so those ideas aren't so bad and are very positive--I do a mixture of Celtic, Norse and Egyptian--but then I've always loved the ancient Egyptian culture--and Celtic--even though I'm of part Celtic blood (amongst a lot of things--LOL) I never really studied the Celtic cultures, when I did I feel in love with it all

not sure if what i do can be termed following any particular path, i tend to form my own and follow the things that feel right for me. I was brought up as a witch, at least that was the label i was given, but i was also given the liberty of mind to form my own opinions and choose my own way blessed be

I think that was great that you grew up in a "witchy" environment--bet that didn't go over big with friends when you were a kid though..or did you keep mum about it??

You know, I haven't really followed the labels to know what path I follow. I have read so much online and in books...that some things just do not fit me well, while others do. I guess if I were to say what path I follow though..I would have to say that I follow my own path of what I feel is right in my heart. I celebrate with my children and my partner on each Sabbat. I create rituals that I feel fit best for our family. And given that I have seven children, they all play a part. I have different books that I read to my children from...stories...and then I talk to them about it. It is more of a discussion than This-is-the-way-it-is...type of thing. Yes, the basics are the same in general of Wicca... Believe in the God AND the Goddess...believe there is a balance...one can not be without the other. I have commonly ran into where some concentrate more on the Goddess aspect. Almost as if God is just there hanging around but only get recognition during formal ceremonies. That is not right to me. I feel that they must both be recognized. And if I am following a path that is labeled with a name...then I guess I have not come across it yet. So, I just call myself a Pagan Wiccan. :) Blessed Be.

I'm ecletic. I'm not really drawn to any one path except for maybe Dianic, and then I'm still considering it. I want to look into it more before I make any decisions. Even then, I think I'd still be more ecletic than anything.

I'm like that -- eclectic that is. I dunno, it's 'cause I like alot of things from alot of different traditions. Most often I'll observe a certain way of doing things and then create my own way of doing it -- with similarities to what I researched and read about..etc. 'sides I've never really fit exactly anywheres, so it works best for me ^_^

I don't follow any Wiccan path. I'm a Hereditary Traditional Witch with Pagan beleifs. (because Witchcraft is a craft, not a religion. Witchcraft is what I do, I am Pagan in my religious beleifs)

As I've stated in one of your other posts - I pretty much what feels right to me and I live the rest. There is a lot of the Wiccan / Pagan paths and traditions that I just don't relate to. For instance I only have two deities - the ultimate Mother/Goddess and Father/God. And if I address them by a more formal name I call them Azna and Om. But usually when I call on them I call them Mother and Father - because I believe we are all their children.

Mostly I really just call myself a Pagan, but if I have to stick a label on me I'd have to take the easy way and just say eclectic, I'm afraid! I tried to commit to one path (Wicca) and found that I just couldn't do that, so I prefer to be eclectic and just pick a little from different traditions. Works better for me!

I'm eclectic, with green leanings. it seems like there are more eclectics these days than there are traditional wiccans...
