i'm just wondering?? are u tired of made in china thing??

I was looking for an article of clothing to send to a little girl in Germany. I found some really cute items but all of them were made in China or India. It really frustrated me since I wanted to send something that was made in my country (Canada)The only children's clothing I found made in Canada was at boutiques which are very expensive. I did end up buying a beautiful little jacket all lined and well made, "made in China". I did send it because I know in Germany most of the children's clothes are also made in China, India or the Philipines.Correct me if I am wrong.
I think wages in the Western World are so high that we cannot compete with other countries. It bothers me though, that in those countries child labour is often employed and the workers often slave away in sweat shops. I think Western Importers have a duty to make sure that the articles they import are made under fair conditions.

...have nothing against the products made in china. they sure are really afforfable if not cheap. they are usually no product of quality but they are also not that bad. It´s just a matter of what one can afford - ´coz it is a fact that many people nowadays are not really doing good financially. Those who have much to spare can shop in boutiques - but many less earners surely welcome the cheap alternatives...
