Do you prefer vintage or brand new?

Give me older pieces. Things that have a story and a style of their own. Does not have to be 'vintage' or heirloom unless it is a tomato of course. New things are not practical in many ways so they normally do not appeal to me at all. I find many older things at the church rummage sales that I go to.

Those are expensive items, those vintage ones. I'll go for brand new. They are less expensive and it will be easy to decide which one to take. There are colors I prefer, sizes and style to choose one. That will be fine.

I think vintage clothing are very good. Often it will not fit me, as I am not the most petite woman. If I could I would buy more of it - really good to be the only one with just that garment, I agree

I love vintage cars. They are more beautiful and more durable. I have known many rich people who have a collection of antique cars.

I love vintage clothing, as you say it can be very appealing. It also gives us a chance to dress with original clothes without having to spend a fortune.
Unfortunately, vintage clothing is difficult to find where I live, so I do buy new clothes as well.
I don´t buy anything just because it´s merely fashionable though. It must be something that suits me.

I prefer to pair new clothes with all-vintage excessories, or else wear a vintage blazer and new jeans with some mod excessories and vintage shoes.

I like a lot of things but if I had to pick I guess I would choose brand new.:)

I prefer vintage too.Have you seen how carefully and skillfully old and good clothes are made?
If you look inside an old dress,all the seams are properly finished off and taped over. That is real workmanship.
I have a book about dressmaking which shows proper finishing off, that people just wouldn't bother about nowadays.

i prefer vintage. i want unique styles. and one of a kind. i love being different. whatever it is I'm wearing or i hold possession of.

I'm all about vintage too. I love cardigans, corduroy jeans, crocheted clothing, and really unusual pieces that I couldn't find elsewhere.

Also, I really don't believe in buying everything brand new. I'm BIG into the second-hand shopping. It saves so much money, and stops a lot of things from just going to the dump, where they wind up as landfill.

Furniture, household items, clothing - I buy nearly everything second-hand, but I'm funny on a few things.

I will not buy secondhand: mattress or any kind of bedding, microwaves, furniture with fabrics (I've bought second hand leather and vinyl furniture, but I won't buy cloth furniture used), shoes - I'm very weird about feet, so I buy my shoes new.

I'm a weirdo like that:)
