Did you ever see James Brown perform live?

Before James Brown sadly passed away, did you ever see him perform live on stage? When did you see him and what did you think/feel?
I saw him a Glastonbury in 2004. I was looking forward to seeing him but was getting impatient with all the build-up before he came on stage - it seemed to go on forever. As soon as he walked on stage though I was absolutely awed.
His performance was incredible (although he had to stop for breath several times - while the band filled time!).

Wow! That must of been an awesome concert! I can't say I ever got the oppurtunity to see James Brown perform but I did see The Temptations once simply incredible!

He would come to the Apollo in New York City when I was a child, and I would beg Mom to let us go down to see him perform but Mom didn't feel we should go; I kind of regret that because I know the brother could put on a show when he got ready. He was one the ultimate consummate performers out there.
