 what was your thoughts fwhen you first seen the movie???i cried like a baby when i seen it.it is a very great true movie.tom hanks is just a brilliant actor all the way.the movie was so sad and all,but that's what makes the movie great.what do you think???

1.  SunSix (11899) | 1 year ago |  This movie is a real gem. It is hard to find fault with it. Hanks is excellent in a role that clearly calls for him to suppress his natural slant toward humor. He is Paul Edgecomb; Tom Hanks is nowhere to be found. Yet he gives Edgecomb just the right flavor. One cannot find a single weak cast member! Michael Jeter should have got an Oscar. Michael Clark Duncan put just the right shading on his huge character to make him vulnerable and sympathetic.

| 3. inked4life (3286) | 1 year ago |  I actually cried like ababy reading the book as well. It is without a doubt in my mind Stephen Kings best novel as well as the best movie adaptation of any of his works. Love that movie, may need to watch it again as I haven't seen it in a while.

| DawGwath (139) | 1 year ago |  I never read the book, but when I heard it's a movie by Stephen King, my thoughts went to some horror flick (I hadn't seen Stand by Me at that time). Watching the movie, I realised Stephen King is a genius in both horror and drama zones, and even comedy. The mix of funny moments, sad and meditating ones, really placed me in the middle of the story, and for 3 hours I felt all the action. I didn't even notice the hours pass, as most movies make me turn my eyes to the clock. As it happened to you, I also cried, maybe not like a baby, but relatively close. And not many movies succeed in bursting me to tears. Overall, it's an absolutely wonderful movie, and I recommend it to everyone.

My little girl is 9 and she cried from that part till the end of the movie. But you have to understand she has an old sweet soul...lol

| 5. molly6342 (12) | 1 year ago |  When this movie first came out, it didn't interest me at all simply because I'm NOT a Stephen King fan at all. I did end up watching it tho on tv one day and ever since it's been tied with The Last of the Mohicans for my my all time favorite movie so far!! I balled like a baby during this movie. I think they did an excellent job with the choices they made for the entire cast.

I love this movie and it is very sad but brilliant and now it is one of my favourite movies. Yes I cried like a baby too. Tom Hanks was excellent as was Michael Clarke Duncan. What a great actor and how well he played this role. I would reccomend this movie to anyone, and frequently do so.

| 6. vega83 (1408) | 1 year ago |  Oh, I love this movie, it's one of my favorites, it just deals with so many things, like injustice and special gifts from nature, and I love the way it's all entwined together to make a beautiful, beautiful movie. I think the story is one of Stephen King's best works. The movie is sad, but almost in a heart-warming type of way, where it leaves you thinking that there are good people in the world and that miracles do happen. It's truly a masterpiece.

| 8. pyewacket (7836) | 1 year ago |  Oh my goodness....this is one of those tearjerkers for me...and it's one of the few movies that faithfully follows the book by Stephen King....and oh yes, Tom Hanks was brilliant in it..I'm not a big fan of his, but in this he was a winner...
And I just have to add...hehe...everytime I see you you have a different avatar..LOL..you're confusing me...but then I tend to be confused most times

I love the way they represented methaphysics, very true and at the same time very challenging. All is perfect in this film! It is one of my targets as future cinematographer.
