As for the "newer" actresses

Susan Sarandon
Geena Davis
Shirley McClaine
Ellen Burnstyn
Sally Field
The Classic Actresses
Bette Davis
Katherine Hepburn
Vivien Leigh
for now I confess these are the ones on the top of my head

I like the same as some of yours. :)
Now, I am not great on names...so I probably will not get them all...but here are some that I like.
Sandra Bullock
Reese Witherspoon
Ashley Judd
Halle Berry
Meg Ryan
Emma Thompson (Nanny McPhee or Sense and Sensibility)
Linda Hamilton (Terminator or Dante's Peak)
Natalie Portman (Where the Heart Is)
Stockard Channing (Also played in Where the Heart Is...but is better known for Grease)
And yes...Drew Barrymore (There are many movies that I have liked that she has done....Happily Ever After and Never Been Kissed)
That is all I can think about right now. :)
Oh Wait!!!
And Milla Jovovich, she played in Ultraviolet and The Fifth Element. :) And I will admit it now, I had to look up the names of those that I like. ha ha

Anne Miller was fabulous...my mom and grandmother went to see a play on Broadway...a musical called Sugar Babies, with Andy Rooney..she was in her 60s at the time and still hoofing (dancing) a storm...dancers seem to keep their figures forever..even Shirley MacClaine...she was a hoofer too

I don't really have just one favorite. I have lots of favorites! Ever since I saw 'The Little Women', 'You've Got Mail' and 'Fly Away Home', Winona Ryder, Meg Ryana and Anna Paquin became my all time favorite actresses. But as I grew up, I included the following in my list:
Drew Barrymore - when I first saw her in the move 'Never Been Kissed'
Sandra Bullock - when she did her role in 'Miss Congeniality'
Julie Andrews - one of my fave classic actresses
Reese Witherspoon - I liked her a lot in 'Sweet Home Alabama' and 'Just Like Heaven'
Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow - my all-time favorite 'Friends' actresses!
Anne Hathaway - she's really good and very pretty too, considering her geeky roles..
Julia Roberts - she acts so normal, love her!
Julian Moore - I like her in suspense movies
..and the list goes on ;)

Both my husband and I like Kate Hudson and Julia Roberts. We always loved Loretta Young, too.
