How was your Easter holiday? |
| |
| Hey everyone! How was your Easter holiday? What did you do? I myself, cooked a big meal, gave my daughter her Easter basket, made phone calls to friends and family and we played Karaoke Revolution with some friends and ate until we were stuffed. Then cleaned the kitchen and relaxed and watched television for the rest of the evening. Even our dog got a special lunch. He had turkey mixed in with his dog food. He loved it! So, what did you guys do? | | | | | |

| | I had a couple of my partners friends here for a few days so it was quite busy for me, cooking and cleaning up after them. I did manage to speak to my parents on the phone and also spoke to my brother. Apart from that I have had a fairly good weekend, nothing special though. | | | | | | |

| | Sometimes those are the best, LOL. I didn't have an overly active weekend myself, other than the cleaning and cooking and baking. I think that was enough for me. I finally got done cleaning and I am still tired! LOL Well, I am glad you enjoyed your company and had a fairly relaxing weekend. | | | |

| | This has been the very best Easter I have ever had. My son-in-law had to go to his parents place to meet with the family so they could all help move the parents from the farm to town. My daughter wanted to stay home because of my health issues. I went to stay with my daughter and the two grandkids I've been staying with them since Friday. It was so much fun painting eggs with the kids and to watch my grandchildren go on their Easter egg hunt was just priceless. I have never been so relaxed, happy and made to feel so welcome in all my life. They don't want to leave but I need to go home today to do laundry. There is nothing better than good family and children. | | | | | | |

| | Amen to that! I miss painting easter eggs and egg hunting. We all used to go out and hide eggs early in the morning before my daughter would wake up, we would get her basket ready and hide it. She would eat breakfast and I would sneak into the hiding place and go put the basket outside so she could find it during her hunt. My daughter is too old for that now and we didn't do much but give her a basket and made a big lunch. I know it is very relaxing and fun to be with family and having the smaller children experience the fun. It sure is priceless! Well, I am sure glad you had a great time and I am sure you will have great memories of that for years to come! | | | |

| | It was pretty good, thanks for asking. Glad you had a good day. I baked two pies that morning and around two we left to drive 20 minutes to my mom's. I also took potato salad and fruit salad. My mom cooked a ham we provided. I visited with my mom for a bit and when my other brother showed up me and my mom took the kids to a nearby park for an egg hunt. Then we went back and got supper on the table, ate and talked, cleaned up, talked some more, had pie, cleaned up, then came home. | | | | | | |

| | That sounds like fun! I am glad you had such a good time with your family. I haven't had a fruit salad in so long. That has me craving for one right now! I might just make one this weekend. Thanks for commenting! | | | |

| | So glad to hear that you all had such wonderful Easters. I must say this was probobly my worst! It started out good on Good Friday when I had my Mother-in-law and my sister-in-law over for dinner. It was very enjoyable, lots of food and a wonderful visit. I gave my son (almost four) who has Autism his Easter gift of little toy cars, a helicopter, and gummie candies that day. We all enjoyed watching him run around playing with these new toys....He always brings our family so much joy! Then On Sunday we drove just a little over an hour to my Uncle's for Easter dinner there. The plan was to enjoy dinner there and have a nice visit and then go to my parents who live nearby to spend the night and the next day with my parents eatting and playing games etc. However, what actually happened was that my son threw up on the way to my Uncles and then throughout the day and early evening he proceeded to throw up seven times and have four bouts of diarhea. By 8pm we were entering a local hospital and three and a half hours later we were leaving the hospital with the knowledge that he was not dehydrated (to our relief) and that he had the stomach flu :( By the time we got back to my parents it was midnight and we went to bed after our son was settled. My son woke up at two, four, and six. Throughout the morning he seemed to better as he was asking for drinks and urinating and eatting dry cereal and crackers and keeping it all down. By the time lunch came he did not want to eat and seemed tired so we put him down for a nap while we finished our lunch and then we washed the dishes and played a game of Scrabble. My son woke up after a long(2 hour) nap. When I went in to see him I knew something was not right and my mom confirmed that we were sure he had a fever. We ended up leaving early (Missing dinner) and heading home where we took our son to a clinic, that was open, to find that he now had tonsilitus and a very high fever! He is on strong antibiotics for five days and has had a really rough go!I will be keeping him home from day care again tommorow to be safe! My husband and I ended up getting take out burgers for dinner on Easter Monday and eatting it at home while our son slept and we hoped the fever was breaking... All I want now is to see my little boy back to his happy self tommorow and not laying around etc. Hope we can enjoy our Easter celebrations more next year! :) | | | | | | |

| | Oh! I am so sorry to hear the little one is so sick on a holiday! That must be terrible for all of you. I know my daughter when she was little had chicken pox during the Christmas holiday and then on Christmas day I got it! Oh, that was not a wonderful year for us, LOL. I know how you feel with the throwing up, upset stomach and diarrhea. It is awful to see them in such bad shape and all you want them to do is get better. I hope next year is a better Easter for you guys. Give little one a hug for us and let us know he is feeling better! | | | |

| | I enjoyed a day with my family. My step daughter came to spend the weekend with us. So, we had four girls here altogether. We hunted eggs and had a cook out. The girls had a great time and everyone found a prize egg. It was a great day! | | | | | | |
