Whoa, I saw my discussion for the first time in "todays top discussions"

I must admit I didn't think this was possible, not because I start horrible discussions but because I thought that we couldn't see our own discussion even if they were on there. Don't even know why I thought that. I guess because even when you go to 'discussions with no responses', you never really see any of your own discussions even if you just started them. At least I never did, so I automatically thought that if I was logged in the only places to check my own discussions were my profile and 'discussions I've started' page.
That was until today, when I logged in and saw my discussions about 'nothing to do on my lot' in the top ten. I think it was number 5. I was quite surprised, pleasantly I might add.
Before I used to hear from one of my friends if I made it to the top, but seeing it today was much more exciting.
Maybe I'm the last one to find this out, but did you guys know if we could see our own discussions there as well?

Yay.I'm really glad that you made it there again.SO it does really prove that you can see your own discussions on the top.I never knew of this before too.So I guess I'm the last one to know this.lol.
So i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed hoping that some of my discussions make it there.And you let me know if i make it there sometime.I've kinda lost my hopes on that.lol.

Hey,
Congrats to knowing that you made the "Top discussions" list. I have yet to see any of my discussions on there as well. Then again, I have yet to see all of my discussions reach past (50). Although, I believe in wishful thinking, It doesn't do very much when you try to encourage others to leave a lengthy response to your discussions.

vega83 is right. we rarely know if our discussions are on the top ones unless we keep on looking into that page and see if our avatar is there as well. i have no idea about how our discussions get there as well. i just know it feels extra fun to atleast have our discussions reach that page.

well, at least you'll get quality responses if not all that quantity, and who knows? You might have been up there, but like me, you might not have seen any of your discussions either, I just saw this one, and the one that I did see did not have 50+ responses but only 21, I don't really know what system that is, or how it works but I guess it depends on how fast people respond to your discussions and not how many.
Hopefully you'll see some of yours in future too.

that's the only way to do it. checking on the today's top discussions section.
it really feels great. i don't start my own discussions everyday. but there were days when two of my discussions are on the front page (top 10 so to say) at the same time. it was extra fulfilling actually. whew!
so, keep on thinking of unique and interesting discussions vega83!

Not so, I have seen my discussions under "discussions with no responses" when they are first started. Your eyes must be playing trick on you.
And vega, I have seen your discussions on top/hot quite a few times. You just didn't see them when you are logged in. :P

Congrats for being at Top Discussion Page! I think you have potential to create some quality discussion that made people to awared you a plus rating. Surely, it would have some good responses too. Doing so good! Well done and keep the spirits up.

Thanks for that, yes, they did have good responses too, but I have found that my favorite discussions have been those that have not necessarily had a lot of responses but really good long lengthy meaningful ones, of course those discussions have never been on top, but have had the best few responses ever.
