"She's a TRAMP, Im NOT the father"...Should he go to the birth or not? | | I was listening to the radio, and a woman called in and was in labor. She said the father was at the bowling alley with his new girlfriend and had no intentions of being there for the birth. A few minutes later the guy called in and said that she was a tramp and cheated on him w/ like 4 different guys. He doubted that that he was the father and said he would not go w/ her to the hospital. This stirred many responses from callers. Some agreeing with his choice and some not. I think that he should be there, on the chance that it IS his baby. How will he feel later if he finds out that he is the dad and he would have rather been bowling than to watch one of god's true miracles?? You only get one chance to see your child born. If it turns out that its not his baby, he was still able to witness a miracle. What do you think, Should he have went or no?

I personally feel that if the guy doesn't want to be there for reason to believe that the child is not his, than he shouldn't be there. His presence there will make such an enjoyable moment a terrible experience. If later he finds out that the child is not his, it will be his loss for not being there. And I feel that the girl shouldn't have any anger towards him, because she shouldn't have put herself in the situation that could lead to his doubts of him being the father. This is such a Maury Povich Show situation. But unfortunately it's a reality for many. And I feel that having been a premiscuous person in the past that I can speak freely on this topic. Yes, in the past when in an abusive marriage I cheated on my husband, and got pregnant, but I knew who the father was. I thought it would be my ticket out to get a divorce... boy was I wrong. Anyway, if people are in a serious relationship they need to take precautions so situations like this will not happen and if the guy feels the child is not his he can be proven WRONG when the DNA comes out. So, that girl needs to face what she has done, because she put herself in that situation. We all need to remember, what is done in the dark will soon come to light. I have some sympathy for the girl and the guy, but this is their reality. You know this almost falls under the lines of the situations when girls just don't know who their baby's father is. And that is something that I just don't understand. It's so easy to figure out who the father is, well unless you were involved in some orgy type situation or slept with more than 2 guys within 48 hours. And a word of advice, if someone does have more than one partner they should keep a log of who they sleep with on each day to help avoid this type of confusion. Why do people put baby's in this situation is beyond me.

If they do a paternity test later and it turns out to be his. The courts will come down harder on him for it. You are right. It is a once in a lifetime experience that should never be passed up on. I enjoyed it when I was there when my wife gave birth to our children. I never actually got to be in the room when my son was born. But I was in there for my daughter and I was amazed by the experience. To create life and be part of the birth experience is a experience that you should never pass up.
