Waiting for someone that's not coming back. Why dump a dog?  

People can be cruel. We use to live on a real country road and we had several dogs dumped off and cats. The worse thing was that some were thrown from moving cars so they ended up with broken hips. I do not know why people get an animal and treat it that away. There are other options and no reason not to use them. Good luck with the doggy and I hope she is ok.

That dog was so lucky she ended up at your house. You are amazing and genorous and doing a wonderful thing for Luke and whatever this new little lady comes to be called.
I foster dogs and have seen wonderful dog after dog just dumped by for lack of a better term, cruel selfish jerks. All my girls have gone on to wonderful homes, but they went through hell to get there.
I thikn there should be a special hell reserved for people who are cruel to animals.

Thank God for people like you who come to the rescue of the many unwanted
pets in our world. I, too, don't understand how someone can be so cruel as to
dump an animal on the side of the road, not knowing where it will end up
(or I guess not even caring), who will claim it, whether or not he will even
survive.

My heart just aches for that little pooch. I am glad that she found your drive to sit at. I can't understand why people think the dog (or cat) is better in the wild than at an animal shelter, where they are fed, bathed, doctored up, and hopefully, have a chance at a loving home.
Give your little girl a squeeze from me. It probably won't be too long before she'll start calling you "mom!" :)

How can someone be so cruel.. She looks an adorable little dog.. Cant stand to see dogs abandoned like that. It reminds me when I was in my early 20s we found a little black and tan coloured pup just wandering the housing estate where I lived He must have been no older than 4 months, He was just wandering aimlessly. We took him in and fed him, then took him around as many houses as we could trying to find out if he had got out by accident, no body ever claimed that little dog, we advertised did everything we could to locate his owners, kept him for 3 weeks, but cos we was in a flat where we wasnt allowed cats or dogs we eventually had to take him to an animal shelter or risk eviction ourselves! But I must admit we got attatched to the little fella! So it was hard

Im a big time animal lover as well and have no idea why these people will do this to their animals. I myself rescued a really abused pitbull puppy over 3 years agoand this dog is my biggest love now. Im glad to hear that there's still people out there that are willing to take on the responsiblity of other pet owners pets and care for them. I think you should be rewared and Ill be looking forward to hearing updates about your new member to your family.

I could have cried when I read about the little dog. I can just imagine her sitting waiting for her ex-owners to come and fetch her. Dogs are so loyal. Some people just should not be allowed to have pets. Maybe we should all do a test of some sort (like a licence) to see if we are capable of looking after them. I also think all animals should be registered with the local animal authorities and all females spayed unless breeding. I realise it is a lot of work (and would cost money) but it would cut down on animal abuse and a lot of unwanted animals. I am really happy that she has found a loving home now. That's so lucky of this cute little dog to have found a caring and loving shelter in your house.

I personally love dogs... there are some stray dogs in our estate which we feed everyday and let play with our own dogs... It does feel great seeing those once "unwanted" dogs happy at our front yard.

It reminds me on my beloved mother in law. She just keep every cat that got dump and lost in her garden. It was raised up to 16 cats !!! and new stranded cats keep coming especially in summer vacation.

But in the end we have to hand them to an animal protection or animal asylum to give those cats to people that really wants to have them. 16 cats was just too much also for her financial, so she decided to keep only 2 of them. My mother in law died 2 years ago and strange enough that her cats (out of the blue) died few days after her.

For us was really unbelievable how people decided to have pets and they just dumped them when they can't find away to take care of them while they were on vacation.....

I don't understand why people dump animals either. The can take them to the humane society and they will be taken care of. People are so careless. It is nice you take them in.
