Another earning group (MyPoints.com) sent me an earning email from the Literary Club and the book being advertised is a "new" book from JRR Tolkien - The Children of Hurin. If you ordered it, it ships May 4.
Has anybody heard of this? I noticed the cover says it was edited by his son Christoper... wonder where this has been hiding all this time?

I actually had a dilemma whether or not to buy the book when I came upon it at a bookstore in Bangkok. I decided not to get it since I was saving my money for the airport tax (it was on the day of our flight home). I so regret not buying the book then and there! Turns out we didn't need to pay the tax and I'm so annoyed I didn't get the book! The book isn't out yet where I live, so I guess I'll just have to wait (we are so behind). I don't know if it's good or not, but I'll find out for myself once I get it!

I haven't heard of it yet, but I'm going to check out the above posters discussions to see what people had to say. I love Tolkien, so if there's a new book, I want to read it! I hope it is something that he wrote most of, not just something his son put together from notes...
