I haven't learned to swim yet!! My daughter loves to swim I would like to get in the water with her. I am 35. Am I too old to learn to swim? What are someother things that you hate to see older people doing and at what age should they have let it go?

"Too old to swim" .... Girl it's never to late to learn. God let you wake up this morning to enjoy another day & learn. So do just that learn, every day above ground is a learning experience:-)

I'm 45 and i swim every weekend with my husband and daughter.I dont think your really ever to old do anything.Ive 90 year ols women go sky diving on the news.Have you ever taken swimming lessons? If not give it a shot.Swimming is great exercise and very relaxing.Maybe you could take them without your daughter knowing and surprise her.Good Luck...

Yeah I will . I really want to learn to swim. I seem so fun and refreshing. I used to be afraid of swimming. Fear is no longer my friend.I am going to learn asap

I don't believe there is such a thing as being to old to learn. If you really want to swim that badly then go and take some lessons. We take our kids to swimming lessons and there are tons of adult classes available at the facility...I say, go for it.

I think that you are never too old to learn something new, especially not at 35! I really admire people who continue to learn new things and take classes as they get older. Of course, taking a beginning ballet class at 40 is not going to get you into a professional dance troupe, but if you are doing something just because you enjoy it, it is never wasted time.

Go for it! I think there are not too many things you shouldn´t be doing at 35, it´s not like you are 90 or something. Although there´s no reason a 90 year old shouldn´t learn to swim, either. :) Things older people should avoid doing: - wearing spandex or mini skirts - the very old might want to avoid bungee jumping and skydiving (although that couple on Amazing Race seem to do fine with stuff like that!) - Throwing a tantrum in public

I don't think you are ever to old to learn anything~ I would actually say good for you for learning to swim at your age. I hope that when I am 80 I still am learning things and trying things that I haven't before. I know how to swim, but hate getting in the water. My kids love swimming and they all taught themselves how to swim:)
