Why does my younger cat constantly follow me around? |
| |
| I have had my cat for about six months or so now, and she is constantly following me everywhere, in the bathroom, bedroom, and when I have to get up, she immediately will run up onto my pc desk where I am at (while getting up), and Just stand there, or walk back and forth. She also follows me into my bedroom, and jumps on the bed, and walks around for a few, then gets right behind me so I can not sit down. She also jumps up on my lap every single time I sit down in my chair...just for a few seconds, then jumps off...Why is she like this? Is she just looking after me or something (I have muscular Dystrophy) and I have heard that pets know when something is wrong with u...I also have a dog at my moms house that will not let anyone near me to help me up, and he also doesnt like anyone kissing me...he will gowl and bark, and jump on top of me as if he is protecting me...So is that why my cat is constantly "there" all the time? | | | | | |

| | It's because she loves you and trusts you completely. She wants to be with you all the time. Animals know who loves them and who doesn't and won't go near the people who don't. Count your blessings with this one because she absolutly adores you to no end. | | | | | | |

| | ive read before that cats follow their human owners coz they want to know what the human owner's routine is your what you're doing... my cats used to do that when they were just kittens and they stopped now... don't worry, they'll get over it... just let them follow around... ;) | | | | | | |

| | Be happy and feel lucky that you DO have a cat that loves you so much, and yes, maybe she is especially affectionate because you do have Muscular Dystrophy and may have special needs...she just plain doesn't want to see any harm come to you--animals in general are very perceptive to our human needs..they can tell when we feel depressed or sad, or if we're in pain and might cuddle up more to cheer us up, I know because I've had cats since i was a kid and have two now --I think it's wonderful that you have such a companion...give your cat a hug for me... ;-) | | | | | | |
