I had a boyfriend a long time ago who forbid me to have any guy friends. I had quite a few guy friends, never dated or fooled around with any of them, just were friends so he had no reason to firbid me to see any of them or even feel threatened by any of them. I don't believe in forbidding someone to do anything. But if your man is uncomfortable about certain people you hang out with then talk to him about it and find out why he doesn't want you around that person or persons. Maybe his reasons are something you can work out with him if it is important for you to keep these people in your life. My ex wouldn't budge and it initially ended our relationship. No, my wife has never forbidden me from seeing any of my friends. However, I did almost once forbid her from seeing some of her friends!

My wife at one time started to pick up some extreme anti-man attitudes and opinions. I was able to attribute this to some of her friends. I knew forbidding her to be friends with these man-haters would be futile. This would have been used by her friends to turn her against me.

I explained to my wife what she was doing and why all her man-hating friends were divorced. I asked, not told her, to please not let her friends influence our relationship.

On her own she figured out that each of these women either made very poor choices when it came to men or were b1tches. Hence, it was that each of them became a man-hater.

On her own my wife moved these very bad influences out of her life.

I am convinced that this could have had a very bad outcome if I had forbade my wife to have these women for friends.

So, think about it before forbidding who your significant other can have for a friend.
