IDOL: underrated contestants  

there have been a couple of contestants that i think were underated when they joined american idol... either they werent praised as much or the judges favored another candidate better... which ofcourse didnt let them reach the top 3

*paris bennett-- definitely a great singer... whenever she sings she gives me goosebumps... her performance of "take five" when she was auditioning was so good i think its on of the best ever auditions in the history of american idol

*jennifer hudson-- she is now an academy award winner.. after only placing 8th during season 3... she always had the pipes and sings amazingly but the judges favored fantasia and latoya instead which led to her ouster

*Camile velasco-- definitely has a good tone to ehr voicec which is rich with feelings... i dont think she was right for american idol since she has such a unique quality to her voice and was not given time to shine really with the theme nights not suiting her style... which she didnt sacrifice.. she performed songs using her own style..

*nikko smith-- actually a very contemporary artist which as you know isnt really favored by the judges... he is an RnB/soul/pop singer inside and out... definitely one of the best male performers... its sad he was booted out too soon
