Dress code for people over the hill  |

|  Many "Old Folks" (those over 40, WAY over 40 or over the hill ) are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions.
Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:
1. A nose ring and bifocals
2. Spiked hair and bald spots
3. A pierced tongue and dentures
4. Minis skirts and support hose
5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
6. Speedo's and cellulite
7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
10. Bikinis and liver spots
11. Short shorts and varicose veins
12. Inline skates and a walker
And last, but not least . . .

| |  Hilarious list. I saw a woman in the salon where I had my first pedi-mani and she had #11-the worst case of vericose veins and loose wrinkled skin over her visible (!)thighs, .Ugh, her hair was silvery platinum and she was heavily and colorfully made up. Usually I feel to each his own, people should enjoy whatever image they want to project, butseeing her gave me pause. Now that nuns have eschewed the traditional habit, maybe we older women should take it up- I would look good in a long black dress, a wimple and veil. Loved your discussion.

| |  lol Funny combinations.I never quite saw anyone making such fascinating fashion statements,lol.Just imagining them makes you laugh.Even fashion tv might find it hard to swallow :-P But I don't trust the designers.They can read this and introduce a line of summer collection based on it tomorrow,lol.

| |  One more I must add. Big boobs and an unsupportive bra, when you see them hitting their kneecaps while they are wearing a low cut top? Lovely!!!
As the saying goes "mutton dresed as Lamb" is not a pretty site, you can spot them a mile away!!
I am hoping my generation will grow old gracefully and we will not be wearing latex and hugging lycra when we are old?
