 There is something about classical music that just relaxes me. It puts me in a medatative state and calms my mood.
I enjoy listening to Beethtoven, Motzart, even Chopen.
I once heard that if you let your children listen to classical music that they will become more intelligent. Do you think this is true?
Do you enjoy listening to classical music? How does it make you feel? Do you think it can actually make children more intelligent?

Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin and Bach.
I do love to listen to classical music.
What i listen to depends on my mood and what i want my mood to be.
If I want to calm down and relax I will listen to something more soothing like an Etude or Ballad from Chopin.
If I am working around the house and just need something energizing. I like something a bit livelier like Mozart or beethoven.
But if I am in a rotten mood and I just want to listen to something that better expresses my mood I prefer Bach. Specifically Tocata and Fugue in D minor

Ravenladyj (17938) | 3 years ago |  My son enjoys classical music on occasion but he knows not to play it near me....I cant listen to it because its a trigger for me (my mothers ex husband used to listen to it all the time)...the ONLY time I can tolerate it is when I'm watching the ballet and thats only because the preformance distracts me (I'm a huge Ballet nut)

He said that it would open children's minds and allow them to think better.
I don't know...I don't think I did too well in his class. And for some reason, when he put on the classical that he liked, it would just make me bang my head on the desk due to falling asleep. ha ha
But yes, I do listen to classical now.
I have Cd's of varied popular artists. I like more of the energizing music though.
It is something that I used to clean the house and listen to at the same time.:)
But I also have some classical meditation Cd's that I would never get to sleep at night without!!!!:) My partner has learned to accept it. Because if I do not have my music, my brain will go 100mph and not let me rest.

Holiday007 (85) | 3 years ago |  Hey Jennifer21.........So Sorry NO i can honestly and completly say i DO NOT enjoy the classicial music style, the music bores me to tears..........the reason I say this is I am Lead Gutiarist for the Band Thunderbolt & Lightning here in London, Ont and were into Rock!!!!!!! I am sure it makes some ppl mellow but to me it just drives me up a wall.I need to hear some mellow Rock to make my mood.......anyway you do have a good point!!!!!!
