Deep Sky Galaxy Field in Fornax....Hubble Telescop - This photo is the result of a 40 hour exposure stacking several images taken in September 2003 by the Hubble Space Telescope. The size of the spot in the sky where this is located is about the size of the full moon. The diffraction spikes show foreground stars in our galaxy, all other tiny specks of light or color in this image that is not black....is a galaxy. This is a typical view of the 'empty' dark spots in our night sky. Magnificent. Tom
