metamorphosis - Clark Kent in Smallville. This photo of Clark Kent as the year's scarecrow with an 'S' etched on his chest is a foreshadow of what he is going to be: Kal-El, the son of Jor-El, the superhero, the Superman. I liken this to the journey of humble caterpillar which crawls on the ground and eats dirt but when least expected metamorphoses into a beautiful and graceful butterly. On a deeper level, I see this as man's journey through this life with all the hardships and trials that one must overcome until, one day, he becomes he becomes the heir of an immortal god. The sad thing is, not every caterpillar metamorphoses into a lovely butterfly but some die on the wayside. What about you? Will you metamorphose or die?
