Kinder Scout - The tallest mountain in Derbyshire - I climbed this mountain on my 10th birthday. Whilst it's not a big mountain, it's very famous in England, for a 'Mass Trespass' which happened in 1932. Ramblers were forbidden by law from hiking on certain mountains, and were campaigning to be allowed to enjoy hiking in this and other beautiful places in England. This was a form of protest, and the land-owner's men and the police tried to stop them, and several people were arrested. Nowadays hikers have a lot more rights, and climbing Kinder Scout is allowed again.
