Bret King Mystery Series by Dan Scott - This is a series of Western stories for older readers, about 12 to 16 years old perhaps. This is the first three books in the series They were written by Dan Scott which was really the Stratemeyer Syndicate. There were only 9 titles published in the series. I love the stories, they're pretty good. I first read a couple when I was growing up but it wasn't until I was an adult that I got the whole series and read them all. I was first interested in reading them because of the setting which is on a ranch and they ride horses and have mysteries. I have these in my book collection.
