Bret King Ranch Mystery Series by Dan Scott - This is a series of Western stories for older readers, about 12 to 16 years old perhaps. This is books 7, 8, 9 in the series. They were written by Dan Scott which was really the Stratemeyer Syndicate. There were only 9 titles published in the series. I love the stories, they're pretty good. I first read a couple when I was growing up but it wasn't until I was an adult that I got the whole series and read them all. I was first interested in reading them because of the setting which is on a ranch and they ride horses and have mysteries. I have these in my book collection.
