Tigress - She liked her books. My husband heard her crying in our backyard and went to look for her. Something had attacked her and left a hole in her chest and tore a tendon in one rear leg. She always limped, but she was a scrapper and happy. Once a neighbor let his pitbull into our backyard, telling his friends to watch it get the cat. 5 minutes later he was begging us to save his dog. She would cross the street to attack a dog. So we figure it was a dog that hurt her when she was tiny. (I still like pits, tho. They're good dogs. Owners are chumps lots of times.)
