Never shake a baby..(Lesson for all to know,be car - This is the photo of London Marie Sherwood who died of Shaken Baby Syndrome.Shaken Baby Syndrome is the shaking of a baby by arms or legs with or without impact of the head.Shaking,jerking,jolting a young baby can cause blood vessels in the head to burst and tear.Often people think by shaking a baby you might stop it from crying,however a bay's brain and blood vessels are vulnerable to whiplash motions.The neck muscles of a baby of an infant or child is very weak so the child's head is relatively heavy and the neck cannot support the stress of shaking or jolting.Only 1 out of 4 babies die out of Shaken Bab Syndrome(However the other three babies will require medical attention for the rest of their short lifespans). London Marie had fractured ribs,both of her legs were fractured and her brain was so damaged that if she were to live she would be a vegetable.So it was a brave decision taken by her mother(Jessica) to take her off Life support.This is what Jessica had to say to others 'If anyone has kids make sure you keep them with you the whole night.Don't give them to anyone and don't trust.Trust me,i thought I had trusted Josh,but now as of Dec 4th 2007 at 2:29 am she is gone.My one and only baby,and he is going to pay FOREVER.Even if he is out of jail he will be dead,no matter what.And to all my friends that know London,I am very angry and upset that I lost the love of my life,my babygirl.She died on her three month birthday' I was deeply moved by this tragic incident so thought to post it here,and spread the word on 'Shaken Baby Syndrome'
