1960 Austin Healey Mark III, 1979 MGB GT - The car on the left is a 1960 Austin Healey Mark III and the one on the right I believe was the 1979 MGB GT. The Austin Healey was a full ground up restoration, right down to the last nut bolt and washer! My father was able to get the full history on the car out of England. He used New Old Stock parts to restore it to like new factory condition. It had an aluminum body and a POSITIVE ground electrical system! It was thought that positive ground would help prevent rust from setting in? This car won first prize for paint at every car show that it was entered in. The paint job was $4,000 and consisted of primer, 4@ coats of paint, 6@ clear coats. The 1979 MGB GT was also a full restoration again with documents from England. Again New Old Stock parts were used in the restoration of this car.
