My mother on her 92nd birthday at Applebee's. - Shortly after we got home from the restaurant, Mom fell, broke her ribs, and then went into full-blown congestive heart failure. She is now home from the hospital, but is on hospice care. I can only hope that she recovers just enough to enjoy the things she was enjoying on her birthday, but I know she'll never recover from CHF or emphysema. I'm happy she's home for Christmas. I'm not happy that this might be the last one. Regardless, it's good to have her home. (12/25/08)
