This is Bailey - Bailey is our 9yr old Golden Retriever Great Pyrenees Husky Mix. He is our 'hero' dog and is responsible for saving our 9yr old's life when he was five years old. Our son was diagnosed diabetic that day..after several doctors missed it...but Bailey didn't and wouldn't back down until we did something..he risked his life that day as he threatened to turn on us rather than back off of what he knew was the right thing..something was wrong with his boy..and his boy was almost in a diabetic coma with a blood sugar of 890 and still conscious. To this day we are not sure how he figured that out but we believed him...and he still warns sometimes of lows and extreme highs. On top of that he is an expert sled/cart dog..strong as an ox and healthy as a horse. Bailey has a personality flaw, but other than that..he's a great dog. We say about Bailey that he is the 'BEST DOG EVER'...but he is not a very 'NICE DOG' at all...grinz. But we forgive him some of his 'cantankerousness' because well, its the least we can do :) He actually has his own bus pass and is a service dog. We don't use his skills for that though as he already does too much and really we don't want to stress him any more than he already stresses himself.
