Chinese Cinderella - I bought this book out of curiosity - I would like to know the difference between a Chinese Cinderella and the regular Cinderella story I've read when I was a little kid. As I was reading, I realized that the book is actually the author's autobiography. The author presented her struggles and aspirations being an unwanted daughter/sister in a Chinese family. She was considered bad luck after her mother's death while giving birth to her. To win her family's love and affection, she did everything to excel academically. She eventually became a successful doctor in the United States. This book made me cry several times. It's definitely worth reading. Given the chance, I would love to meet the author someday.
