My Dream Guitar Rig - This is my dream guitar rig. My Les paul would run into the Korg Tuner first. I like this tuner because it's small, accurate, and can power an additional pedal on the board (9v). The next pedal would be the MXR Micro amp, for a good clean boost, or for solo work with my distortion. Then into the Digitech Hardwire series overdrive and metal distortion pedals. These have multiple voice options, and are true bypass. The overdrive is tube based, so it should help make the B-52 Solid-state sound more tube driven. The metal pedal is great for power chords with hard rock styled songs, or smooth lead work in the same genre. From there, the signal would run into the Boss Super Chorus. It's a cheaper pedal with a great Boss quality chorus for adding another dimension to power chords, or for a different style of clean tone. Then into my Dunlop volume pedal (even though it shows a wah, i just couldn't find a volume pedal by Dunlop on the site). It would be in this position so that I can control the volume level without dropping gain on my distortion\overdrive pedals. After the volume, I'd run into the Digitech Hardwire Reverb pedal. Like the other digitechs on the board, it has a true bypass switch. I like it for it's Lexicon quality reverb effects that it delivers. This would run into the input of a B-52 4x12 stack. It's an affordable 3 channel stack, 100 watts, with effects loop w\gain control, and an included footswitch. The MXR carbon copy delay would run into the effects loop instead of being in the chain. The board is a pedal train pt-2, powered by a voodoo lab supply. Thanks to anyone who had the patience and love of guitar rigs to read this!
