Maoists 'still recruit children' - Nepal's independent National Human Rights Commission says it has reports that Maoist rebels are still forcibly recruiting children. The commission said the rebels either lured children with money or forcibly took them away from their classrooms. Rights groups have in the past accused Maoists of using child soldiers and committing other abuses. The rebels recently agreed to a peace deal with the government to bring a 10-year old insurgency to an end. The agreement will see the rebels join a transitional government. It will also bind rebels to respect human rights, canton their fighters and deposit their weapons at United Nations-monitored stores.
