The first bike I received from the dealership - There's a story to go with this pic. I purchased my bike from a local dealership, and went to pick it up the next day. The dealership loaded my bike onto my bike trailer (it was raining and I was an inexperienced rider) and I did a walk around check to make sure it was strapped down. I brought 4 straps with me....2 for the front and 2 for the back. The dealership's employee only used 2 of my straps. He strapped both sides of the front down, and left the back without any straps. I protested, but the dealership assured me it was strapped properly and wasn't going anywhere. As I left the dealership, I had to use the employee driveway behind the lot b/c this is where they had loaded the bike. At the end of the drive, it dipped down about 2 inches where the drive met the road. I pulled out, and lo and behold the bike fell off the trailer. I couldn't slam on the breaks seeing as how I was in the middle of a busy highway, so I had to slowly pull off the side of the road (still within 50 feet of the dealership) while dragging the bike beside the trailer. This is part of the damage that was caused, and of course, after threatening with a few lawsuits, the dealership had to cover the damages. They wanted to fix the bike, but I made them give me the identical one in the showroom....and thus, I now have my baby w/o any scratches. BTW- As for the wrecked bike, 2 months later it was sitting on the show room floor. All exterior plastic was replaced, but instead of replacing everything behind the gauges that got chewed off, the dealership threw a smoked out windshield on it. They didn't fix any of the damage to the chrome, or the big dent in the gas tank. Some idiot bought it 2 weeks later for only $500 off the original purchase price! See the other damage pics in my photos for more details!
