Boracay - Boracay is centrally located in the Visayas island group, lying near the northern tip of Panay Island. Tourists can go diving, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing. Boracay is a walker’s paradise. The center of the island, which contains most of the important tourist locations, is quite flat, while the hilly northern part and southern ends are a magnet of the very active. Susligan and Bat caves, which contain colonies of flying foxes (fruit bats) are a major attraction to hikers. The most popular means of traveling to Boracay is by air. There are regular flights from Manila to Kalibo Airport on Panay Island. The flight take less than one hour but an additional 90 minute bus trio to the Caticlan Jetty Port is required. Smaller turbo prop planes fly directly to Caticlan Airport, only a short tricycle ride from the jetty. Boracay itself is reached by the traveling on bancas (small boats), which continuously ply the short strait between the island and mainland Panay.
