Sholay - Amjad Khan, who played the bandit chief so brilliantly, had an undistinguished film career afterwards in the picture. He played Gabbar Singh again in the 1991 Ramgarh Ke Sholay, a parody. He also reprised the role in a commercial for biscuits.
