...such as it was. At least I didn't have any bills.
One was from my broker, about a "proxy vote" thing (?), and the other was a postcard regarding a correction to the statewide voting book I received a while back ago....

Thank You, Lord
Jesus, for loving me,
Even
Though I miss
The mark
Again and again.
There is no one
That has patience with me like You.

Aw, man. I just realized I screwed up the dates on the last couple of date poems. Sigh. Oh, well. At least I caught it before I went too far...
Much to do;
Just gets
Too confusing sometimes.
Then I need
To stop
And ask...

Feeling so
Defeated: I was,
'Til Jesus came and
Took my failure,
Then replaced it with victory;
And since
Then, He's helped me
Overcome so many things.

Today, Lord, You've helped me
Overcome a lot: whether
Through verses in Your Word, or
Something
That a friend said; and I
Thank You for being
At my side one way or another when
Times get rough.

The Father
Sent
The Son for all, even
Those who choose
To deny Him. Sadly, for
All of those deniers,
The end will not be pleasant.

That blasted virus keeps spreading, albeit slowly, and it's affecting various sectors of the stock market.
Airline stocks are down. Hotel stocks are down. Industries that support the above industries are down. Chip making stocks...

Trying not to be
Defeated, and
Trying to
Stay on course; even
Though I slip and
Take spills, Lord, help me to
Always get back up: I can do
Nothing without You !

Tick tock
Around
The clock; time
Slips by so fast;
The month is nearly done;
The new will soon have begun
And there will be
New memories to make, old in the past.

Today, Lord God
Almighty, may
Take every ounce of strength
That I have; but
The strength I have means nothing;
All the strength You give supplies my
Need and more.

Fragile humanity
Needs the strength of God;
Needs Him whether
They choose
To acknowledge Him or not; needs to
Accept His Gift of
Eternal life before the opportunity passes.

It's frustrating when you found out that there are typographical errors in your birth certificate. It can be corrected but it takes time for you to get the annotated birth certificate in security paper. You need to spend money and...

This was one of my mother's 'mantras'. On the whole, it's good advice but there are occasions when it really is one's duty to express disapproval or to correct someone. It doesn't always come over as 'being nice' but it should, at...
