Over the Christmas holidays we popped into IKEA and had their festive meal. I have a family card so I get free coffee every day.
Today we were out and felt peckish ….unknown to me The Mister had it in his mind to go there again....

Some time back I wrote about the vertical gardens I bought. I didn’t have much luck with it as we were away so much and it was so hot. We look like being home for a while now and it rains quite often so I’ve planted three punnets...

Yesterday, we built the second of two overhead cupboards which we’ve put in the laundry. They are from Ikea. Instructions from Ikea are always in pictures with no text at all. If you follow the pictures very carefully and don’t go...

The photo has nothing to do with the discussion but is a collage from the latest endurance ride for those who like to see photos of the horses.
Yesterday, we constructed an Ikea cupboard to go in the laundry. Today, we have to...

Our lifestyle village recently held a Christmas fair/market in our clubrooms. There was a great variety of goods on display and for sale at very reasonable prices. One resident had an amazing display of jewellery which she makes...

To return pieces we didn't use or need and to purchase items like trays to hold the silverware, knives and spices. Also something to hold a few utinsels. The majority of those will be hidden in drawers but I'll keep a few out that...

Today they will lay the flooring and set the lower cabinets and put on the drawer fronts that came in. We're missing about eight of those. The lowers will all be drawers.
We then need to go to Lowes once more to talk about Lowes...

Our two workers are ahead of schedule so they may not return until next Thursday unless they get other work that's been on hold done in two days and then they might return earlier. But that's okay because I still have glassware...

The first thing to do as a partner avoiding IKEA projects is well to NOT GO TO IKEA. Projects appear there as if by magic or simply by pointing, so the first rule of avoiding those projects is truly just staying away. In my case,...

DE (@DaddyEvil) asked about the spice rack in the kitchen so I thought I’d take a close up of it so that you can see it more clearly. The whole thing is from Ikea. The black rod is attached to the wall and comes with the basket,...

It is...

We’ve done it! Well, almost. We now have built-in Ikea wardrobes in our walk-in area. The photo shows our bedroom during ‘building’. The wardrobe is two metres high (2+ yards) and the doors are mirrored and a metre wide so they...

Our kitchen redo may be coming to a halt.
I found out this afternoon via my sister that Ikea stock is low and there might be up to a six month wait. We don't know if it's because manufacturers can't find workers or whether people...

We ordered two office chairs from Ikea and I was wondering how difficult they’d be to put together. But as it happened, it was very easy. The seat can be raised or lowered, and there is a certain amount of tilt to them.
The...
