I am using my crockpot for that. I do the quick preparation. I soak my beans and split peas for until my water is all soaked in , and than cook it in my crockpot for 3 hours. Et voila...

Here I have given a brief idea of growing beans in pots. Select a 10 inch pot.
1] prepare the pot with mud, sand in almost equal proportions.
2] sow the seeds, about 1/2 inch deep.
