No - it isn't blood. I have a beetroot smoothie in the morning as I'm driving to work and today I guess I let some spill on my shirt as I got the beetroot into the blender. I realized it after getting to work. No harm done though...

So for tea this evening we are having gammon. It is in the saucepan boiling away as I type. With this we’re going to have salad, lettuce, cucumber, home grown cherry tomatoes, beetroot. Also boiled new potatoes.

Never under estimate the goodness of beetroot It has everything that is required to keep one healtyh be it your heart, liver, bones.
