Breeding Betas

I am trying to breed a pair of betas in order to develop a rose tail trait. I have the pair that exhibit the half moon tail. Do i keep on breeding this pair in hopes of getting the rose tail mutation or is there another way?

Why you shouldn't put two male Beta fish in the same tank

If you ever get a Beta fish never put the fish in the tank with another male. They will fight to the death. That's why you usually will see these fish alone in a bowl.
