Lately I’ve been watching reruns of Phil Spencer, Secret Agent. It’s a British show and Phil is an estate agent who goes into an individual’s house and gives them advice on how to present it in a way that will be attractive to...

Spent the day at my moms yesterday, visited and cleaned. Her propane was delivered, so that made me less stressful. Took her a Cheeseburger from McDonalds as that is what she likes, talked while I made sure she ate. She is out of...

We're back from a short trip to Tagaytay for some rest, fresh air, and church visits. We stayed overnight at Quest Hotel - a nice, small hotel that's right next to a Filinvest mall. I thought that was really convenient. We were...

I took a lot of my sister-in-law’s surplus sewing items to my craft group this morning. The ladies there took a lot of the pieces and were very pleased to do so.
Shown in the photo are dozens of hexagonal squares which were...

One of the items I brought back from my sister-in-law’s was this pack of 24 wooden dolly pegs. I remember my mother having these before the spring-type ones became available and later plastic ones of course.
What I was surprised...

I’ve spoken about helping my sister-in-law tidy up her junk room. She had a great many unfinished patchwork and sewing projects languishing in plastic tubs. It’s hard to just throw away stuff you’ve been looking forward to doing....

I’ve been helping my sister-in-law empty out her junk room and, in the photo, you can see a corkscrew which she doesn’t want. It’s made of iron and fits very nicely in the hand. It would make quite a handy weapon if you were...

I spent a few hours helping my sister-in-law tidy up a room. I brought home a few things which I’ll look through then forward them on to the charity shop nearby.
Among the items I brought home were these Cordon Bleu magazines. I...

I’ve just come back from my sister-in-law's where I was helping her declutter one room of her house. The photo shows the room before we started.
We only spent about two hours on it and then she had a visitor and we had to leave...

The photo is of one for the rooms of the dolls’ house I wrote about last discussion.
Vince’s sister is the matriarch of the family. She has a heart of gold but can also be very abrupt. She has retired now but was a nurse and is...

I haven't really looked up to Marie Kondo or have known that much about her. But I know how clutter around us can clutter the mind and body. Here are my thoughts about decluttering based on her insightful quotes:
"Storage experts...

I'm a recovering hoarder. I hoard two things, craft supplies and papers. Papers like old medical EOBs, kiddo's report cards, legal documents. I don't hoard newspapers or trash.
The craft supplies are the worst. But the really...

Basically, you ask yourself "If this had poop on it, would I wash it or throw it away?"
I guess it depends on what it is and how many dirty diapers you've washed in your life and how OCD you are.

We're spending the last week of May here in our provincial home before the movers come on June 1st to haul the big furniture and appliances and bring them to our city apartment. I'm getting less and less sentimental now. Thinking...

Gave a bag of toys my sweet little great niece doesn’t play with to our neighbors twins, trash some things that needed trashes, bags of donations in the car, and I’ve already taken many more bags, even listed a couple of items in...
