Problems with your drop shipper running out of items in the middle of an auction

Have you had this problem? If so, what did you do? I use one drop shipper for electronics and up until Christmas Time had no problems with them. Then on 2 items that were popular they ran out while I had auctions with bids on...

Ok so from what I have gathered using a drop shipper is a bad idea. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/949817.aspx So what about the power sellers? Where do they get their inventory? I really want to sell on ebay I just don't know...
