how to save text area input to .txt file??? Please help!

hi, i have a website and i have a text area field where my users will put in their idea or content and i want there to be a button or link to allow them to save their content to their computer. i really can not figure this out...

we do have a big feild. now a freind is useing it for his horses but next year we have to use it. anyone have some good idears? we are thinking to plant litle christmass trees in a small part.we do live 3 km from a small town.

It isnt the field you choose that determines your sucess but entirely your aptitude. How true is this ? Dont you think this is an overstatement ?
