A young girl (she looked about 8 years old) had accompanied her parents to the...

It's 8 minutes until midnight here in Idaho and I'm watching celebrations in Washington D C., San Francisco, Mexico, Nashville, Seattle, and others. A really pretty fireworks display in Rio. The really cool one was in Dubai....

Fireworks are only legal in my city on the 4th of July but the police will allow them to be fired off on other holidays, too.
They started today at 9 pm and finally stopped at a few minutes after midnight. People still shooting...

So, The Mister may have gone a bit OTT when buying fireworks …..we don’t have the biggest garden and although he did warn the neighbours , we were both concerned.
Problem solved …..
The Mister went to the local pub, the one we go...

So. The Mister has spent a small ….or not so small…..fortune on fireworks for the Grandkids tonight.
I did suggest going to the local arboretum but by the time the Grandkids get here it will be locked up.
It’s a shame because we...

Today, 5th November, is Bonfire Night.
On this day we remember that in 1605 Guy Fawkes and his friends were going to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
The Gunpowder Plot.
Unfortunately, someone snitched and they got caught before...

Well, after spending most of Friday thinking that the fireworks display was going to be cancelled due to the rain and general bad weather, I’m happy to say that it did go ahead.
We managed to get a great spot and so had a great...

So it has been raining heavily on and off since last night.
Doesn't bother me in the caravan but tonight is supposed to be the big firework display up in Weston town centre.
It's slightly weird as almost every year it gets...

I looked up online that the fireworks were supposed to start at 9:30 p.m.
At first I went out on my patio, and I saw a light or two, but I realized I needed to go out a bit.
I went out to the side of the apartment complex, where...

We went to bed to the sound of fireworks last night. I guess it was the first day they were on sale. Once his hearing aids are out, Bob does not hear them.
We have had enough rain that I guess there is not much of a danger of...

Happy New Year everyone!
We had a good many loud poppers here in the city at my daughter's house and my granddaughter was super excited getting to stay up late. She didn't go to bed until almost 2 am. We pulled her out of bed...

While every body was preparing their Noche-Buena ( new year meal ), trumpets, and fireworks, I just did my laundry. Even though it was evening, it was to watch over my dogs and not panic while they hear those loud fire works....

I do not like fireworks.
Unfortunately, my across the street neighbor down one house does.
A lot.
So, I was listening and heard what was obviously the start of a firework... except it sounded really weird.
Yes, it started with...

I am really trying to get ready for a nice and non-eventful new year. My family has some things going on that are nerve-wracking at best and I hope they get finalized and in a positive way here soon. I plan to get to my medical...

We are watching the neighbor's fireworks. I think they are from another street. But there is also a bit of drizzle of rain.

Tomorrow's the last day of 2024. It's that time when folks in America celebrate by drinking and blowing stuff up—especially here in Florida. Just ask @moffittjc, he'll back me up on that. Although, he’ll probably be busy hanging...

Dear all,
This is my latest,a fireworks pattern art piece (as you can see.) While this piece itself is new, it's inspired by one of my very old Corel pattern pieces.
Anyway, thanks for stopping in to my little Mylot corner, and...

We did not go looking for fireworks on the fourth. We had just finished a long drive. Checked into a motel in Wisconsin.
Bob's cousin, whom we were planning to see, came down with covid. He thought it was just a cold, but he was...
