I also have Vonegut's, "Slaughterhouse Five" which I bought for $5 bucks in a used book store in Fresno the same week I bought a first edition of Herbert's "Dune". I was eighteen and it was 1986! Still have those books though,...

Does anyone collect books? What types? Do you collect first editions?

I have a huge number of books, like many readers. However, I am not sure I would say that I "collect" books. I would be interested in hearing from people who do collect books. Anyone out there collecting first editions?

I like books, the feeling of tuouching pages... Some years ago I've started collecting first editions, especially the ones from my favourite authors. Don't you think they have something special?
