We have been travelling through the wheatbelt in Western Australia and we’ve been seeing a lot of quandong trees. I was surprised at the number we’re seeing but perhaps I’m only noticing them became they are all in fruit at the...

So, literally a 1 minute walk from the caravan site is about 150 metres of blackberry bushes.
The weather has been so good recently that the bushes are heaving with fruits.
I always go for a walk each day ....at least one usually...

When I came home from trying to pick up Bob's prescriptions there were hundreds of birds on the ground. Foraging for seeds, etc.
To me that was a sure sign of...

Until I moved ‘down south’ I had never heard of Mirabelle plums, but since living in middle England I started to notice these trees with little yellow fruits in the hedgerows and eventually found out what they were. They are about...

There is this fruit tree growing in an unused plot in front of my house. It happened to bear fruits heavily. Kids often grab a bunch of them and nobody bother to told them off as long as they don't make a mess.
I collected some...

I just finished watching a video from a woman who likes to spend a lot of time outdoors and she is well compensated for it. I did find a watch a few days ago in the parking lot but I didn't keep it. It might have had sentimental...

My photo is of roses I received once. You best cut off the thorns before handling them.
In my last discussion a friend used the word "rambles". Thanks to @sallypup using that word, "rambles" I thought of "brambles", stickery...

I’ve quite often seen various plants growing through paving, even trees if the place is left undisturbed long enough, but I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen mushrooms doing it. And this is on our new driveway!
Still...

I came upon this photo of a fungus called scarlet elf cup (Sarcoscypha coccinea) when I was looking for nasturtium photos for an article I want to write. I was attracted to it...

I'm not sure just when it is I really feel in love with dandelions. It may be when I ran through fields of yellow wildflowers as a child, or when I picked that first bouquet of dandelions to give to Mom. It may be when I had my...

My perfict job would be one I saw a description of one time. These women owned 100 acres. They foraged for food. Whatever they found great amounts of, they picked a percentage of it and sold it to a restaurant. The restaurant...

I usually start with wild berry picking. Then move onto whatever else the person might like. If the person likes greens, then lambsquarters, etc. If the person likes cooking with wine, dandelions. Mostly depends on what the person...

I used to walk from 3 to sometimes as much as 10 miles a day with my dog. But since he got hit by a car, long walks like that tend to bother his leg a little bit. Not only that, but he likes to chase trucks, well, not chase them...
