So, I had a £5 voucher to use at Hotel Chocolat . There isn’t a store in my local town so it meant a bus ride. That’s okay, I have a bus pass and the time.

They have a botanical name Alpunia purpurata but we call them ginger flowers, as the plant resembles a ginger plant and the leaves smell of ginger.
They propagate easily and even flowers develop plants that could be planted....

You can see a small jar and an empty packet in the photo. I should have stood the packet up so you could see it better. Both the packet and the jar contain the same amount, which surprised me as the packet looked much smaller....
