Is in vitro fertilization morally acceptable?

The world has lot of people craving for a child or a family. In order to have one, others are actually asking how in vitro affects the ethical principles of man. I'm curious if it is morally acceptable or not.

My wife and I are looking into the possiblities of going through In Vitro Fertilization. Has anyone here gone through it? Was it a success or failure? How do you feel about it? Any suggestions would be helpful...THANKS!

Abortion is seems to be a very popular topic of debate here. There seems to be few who aren't sure of their opinion on that topic... I'm more interested in discussing a related issue where the lines are a bit more blurred......
