A lot of people seem to be getting this wrong these days, usually by writing “lead” when it should be “led” – as in “the path lead me in the wrong direction”.
The confusion comes because “lead” can be pronounced either as “ledd”...

We were told that these led lights are good quality and could last a long time. But this is probably the fourth time a LED light got busted only within this year. Not to mention this was more expensive than the Fluorescent one....
