Microsoft files a patent to make us pay

Microsoft has filed, as a possible Xmas gift :) a patent by which the end user of a PC has to pay for its usage. Meaning it's not enough that I buy the PC, I also have to pay Microsoft to use it. What do You think? Is this right...
